Wolverhampton has a vision for for meeting the needs of the mental health for all of its residents . This involves help on social level, such as helping to stop discrimination but also on an emotional and physical level through NHS and other partner organisations.
It is reported tht In 2015/16 upto 510 women had mild to moderate perinatal anxiety and/or depression. Wolverhampton have a continuous plan to help reduce smoking. The official Wolverhampton website (https://www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/news/smoking-rates-wolverhampton-continue-fall) reports that the percentage of adults who smoke in the city dropped from 16.5% in 2015 to 14.4% in 2017, according to data from Public Health England, amounting to almost 5,000 fewer smokers. The plan to make it harder to smoke as well as the support being offered to those wanting to quit smoking is the core focus and the education of children on the risks is crucial to helping reduce the health risk to the wider public in relation to smoking.
It is not easy to get the right resources and not everything is available as efficiently as it should be.
